Pro Jank Footy Provisional Power-Up Tier List

A planning aid—not a finished meta gospel.

Power-Up Tier List

This tier list is explicitly provisional. Pro Jank Footy had not yet unlocked worldwide when this page was authored for the August 2026 launch window. Rankings below organise publicly teased effect families so Season players and party hosts can talk about priorities. Expect reshuffles after patches.

How to read the tiers

  • S — High impact across many match states; strong Season keepers.
  • A — Excellent in common situations; rarely dead.
  • B — Situational or comedy-first; still worth learning.
  • C — Fun spice; risky as early Season anchors.

S-tier families (provisional)

  • Extra bodies / doubled roster style effects — more touch points usually beat pure spectacle.
  • Movement or kick strength buffs — translate directly into scoreboard pressure.
  • Opponent slowdowns that do not require perfect RNG follow-ups.

A-tier families

  • Rule rewrites that open extra scoring geometry (extra posts style fantasies).
  • Umpire removal / officiating chaos when it reduces stoppages that hurt your tempo.
  • Targeted debuffs that kneecap the current leader without ending readability.

B-tier families

  • Transformation chaos (seagulls, football bodies) — incredible television, variable conversion.
  • Third-team or crowd-interference style jokes — swingy, memorable, hard to evaluate pre-launch.
  • Vehicle / dad’s-car energy — high meme value; practice tackle timing first (Controls).

C-tier families (still loveable)

  • Pure spectator gags that barely move the scoreline.
  • Reset-oriented chaos (blackout score fantasies) that can erase your own hard work.
  • Win-condition novelties like DVD-corner myths—amazing stories, unreliable plans.

Season versus party weighting

In Season Mode, bias upward toward flexible buffs. In couch nights described by Multiplayer, bias toward whatever keeps the quietest friend laughing. Same cards, different value functions.

Methodology notes

We do not invent numeric stats. We cluster developer-teased examples from Steam blurbs, PlayStation Blog, and press kits, then map them onto competitive heuristics familiar from other card-chaos party games. When exact card names are published in full, this page will convert families into a named table.

If a launch patch nukes a favourite, celebrate—it means the meta is alive.

Updating cadence promise

After launch we will revise this list when:

  • a patch notes page retunes card weights,
  • a boss theme demands a new family entirely,
  • or community consensus stably disagrees with our provisional ranks for two weeks.

We will not reshuffle daily based on a single streamer’s outrage. If you need raw discovery energy, run exhibitions; if you need planning, use this page plus Season Mode.

How to disagree productively

Post your counter-tier with the match context: platform, mode, stadium, and whether kids were on Kick-to-Kick five minutes earlier. Context turns arguments into data.

How party hosts should use this list

Read the S and A families aloud before a Pro Jank set so newcomers know which offers are “keep the oval honest” versus “pure spice.” Do not enforce the list as law when a guest drafts a meat-pie gag for the bit—announce house rules instead. After launch patches, revisit ranks here and in Deck Building rather than trusting a screenshot from week one.

Mapping teased flavours into families

Public teasers mention seagulls, missing umpires, posts around the boundary, football transformations, meat-pie absurdity, and dad’s-car energy. Place them mentally: rule rewrites and geometry changers often land A or situational S; pure spectacle without disposal help usually sits B or C for early Season. Party nights can promote a C-tier gag to “legal tonight” by house rule—just say it aloud so nobody argues mid-animation.

Updating ranks without rewriting history

When a patch lands, note the date in your own scratchpad and re-test three matches before you crown a new S-tier. Cross-link findings to Power-Ups Overview for category literacy and Season Mode for encounter context. Screenshots without patch numbers are entertainment, not gospel.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Pro Jank Footy modes, power-ups, and platforms.

Is this tier list final?

No. It is a pre-launch planning framework pending live play.

Why are comedy cards ranked lower for Season?

Because campaign consistency rewards flexible advantage more than one-time spectacle.

Will you list every card name?

Yes once official materials or stable datamines make that responsible.

Should parties ignore tiers?

Parties should optimise for fun; use tiers only when someone wants a sweaty set.
